Beginnings
Our mission is to establish The Janet Travell Foundation as a non-profit charitable organization and preserve Dr. Travell’s legacy to share with the world. This website will be the virtual home for Dr. Travell’s medical, scientific, family and personal records.
Many of the original documents were donated to The Gelman Library and are currently accessible by requesting to view the documents in person. Our goal is to work with a team of local researchers to photograph and digitize the most important documents, and build an online library on this website.
That is just the beginning. Our longer term vision includes developing certification courses in myofascial trigger point therapy, publishing the out-of-print, original trigger point manuals in print and digital media, and publishing a series of teaching videos featuring Dr. Travell. And, we’re in the early stages of planning to create a mini-documentary film about Dr. Travell’s life and legacy.
